Signing in

It has been a long while since I last wrote...lots of turmoil in my life these days. In December the class I was teaching at Worcester State was cancelled, leaving me in a very precarious position. I am still not working...it seems as if I have become just another casualty in these United States. I am lucky that I still have a roof over my head so I will try to keep the pity-party to a minimum.
After hearing about the cancelled class, I got word that I did not get recommended for the Fulbright Scholarship. That was a terrible blow, but I have recovered and now I am more determined than ever to get to Romania to meet with my friends in the fall this year. The Cultural Book Exchange "West meets East" exhibition will still go on...and I have been invited to give an artist talk at the school (National University of Art in Bucharest) that will coincide with our exhibition, so that is an opportunity I will not be passing up.

In the studio, I have been working on a new tea piece that has been growing little by little. I have also been swamped with the books...making new ones, finishing up old ones, and everything in between. I am trying to get some book shows together before the one in Romania. I have booked a few of the books (no pun intended) into a group show in NY next month at the Climate Gallery in Long Island City, Queens.
