I am supposed to be leaving for Ukraine in 7 weeks, and now have been informed I am in deferment. Yet again. Damned ulcer! I need to be off the Prilosec for 1 month and then report back in the form of an essay/statement, stating my condition and how I am dealing with any problems, if any. Woof.

RIP Catherine
I was saddened by the death of PC volunteer Catherine Puzey. We are told there are risks. We are told the PC will give us the tools we need to be safe. But who would imagine that one of our volunteers would be murdered trying to protect her students from a sexual predator? There is nothing that can ever prepare you for such a terrible tragedy. I am so sorry for her family.

Finally. I am completely cleared and ready for take off. March 21st will see me boarding Amtrak for my trip to Washington DC for orientation. 3 days later, I fly out to Ukraine. Phew. What a ride.
