Visiting my Fellow PCV Applicants who are in TOOTH HELL
I have just signed off from visiting and commenting on a few blogs from the PC Journal site. If anyone is interested it is http://www.peacecorpsjournals.com/ I do not feel so alone in my crankiness at having to spend a million dollars on my teeth. Apparently, there any many of us out there dealing with the same issues. This makes me feel a little bit better, but none-the-less richer! Some have to extract teeth, others are dealing with having to remove wisdom teeth that haven't even grown in yet! Just because they are THERE UNDER THE GUM is reason enough to pull them! AHHH! This makes me nuts! If the PC wants a kidney, will we take one out as well? I've said this before and I'll say it again...you have to want to walk down this road this REALLY BAD...

Regarding those Teeth....
I just returned from the dentist's office sans 2 teeth. I didn't realize how this would affect me, but I am really depressed. I have always taken such good care of my teeth...fought to SAVE them time and again with root canals and fillings, only to have them ripped from my mouth like...like...I can't even think of a good analogy!
So, I am sitting in my back yard thinking about what I just paid for this....$370. This was charged to my Visa, naturally. What is it the Peace Corps says about being financially stable before you go in? After all the work I am compelled to do on my teeth, I may just be financially unstable after all is said and done.
Like I stated earlier...you have to want this really bad.
