The time approaches when I'll be gone. I received my marching orders from the Peace Corps and I'll be leaving RI for Philly on the 11th of March. Time sure does fly.
I started this blog when I was anticipating my first service in Peace Corps Ukraine. A lot has happened between then and now; some it good, and some not-so-good. I left Ukraine feeling jubilant with many hopes for a future filled with good prospects for career advancement. After one year of unemployment my feelings were mostly of despair. Who is going to hire a woman of my maturity? Who would believe that I really have what it takes to master an amazing position that would pay me decent money and let me feel like I am contributing to something amazing.
Apparently no one.
Well, I'm not going to get discouraged. I have so much to offer and I'm taking it with me to Albania.
Screw those 129 would-be employers. Really.
