An Artist's Work is never Done

On Thursday, Daniela and I spent the morning doing Batik and Tie Dye.  I had never done these processes and she is a master at this.  She has won awards and written/published books on the subject! I was a familiar with Tie Dye, but not the Batik.  It involves wax applications onto fabric...nice!  Here are a few examples.

Afterwards we met some friends...Daniel and his lively wife Mariela, and a friend of hers.  We met for lunch at this great out-of-the-way place frequented by artists, poets, and actors. The chef is a friend of Daniel's and Mariela's.  The food was over-cooked but pretty tasty. (For a change!)
